Privacy Policy

Yoga Quest is a sequencing studio for yoga teachers. It is built local-first: you can browse the pose library, build classes, and teach from them without an account and without a network connection.
The short version. Your class plans live on your device. You choose whether to create an account, whether to sync, whether to send anonymous usage statistics, and whether to use online AI suggestions. Each of these is off until you turn it on. We do not sell your data, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.
What stays on your device
Unless you sign in and sync, all of the following is stored only in app-local storage on the device you are using:
- Class sequences, sections, timings, and your teaching cues
- Reusable section templates
- Your teaching history and private reflections
- App preferences, including theme and accessibility settings
- Collaboration drafts you have not shared
You can export all of it as a JSON file, or erase all of it, from Settings → Privacy & data.
If you create an account
An account is optional. The full manual app works without one. If you choose to sign in with Google, with Apple, or with a passwordless email link, Firebase Authentication processes your account identifier, the identity your provider returns, and session metadata.
Signing in lets Yoga Quest reconcile your workspace and sequence library into
documents owned by your account, so your classes follow you between devices. Those
documents are stored in Google Cloud Firestore in the Doha region
(me-central1). Security rules reject any read or write from a different
account.
Deleting your account
You can permanently delete your account from Settings → Privacy & data → Delete cloud account. This erases your account record and every document it owns — profile, synced workspace, sequence library, preferences, teaching history, mail receipts, and any class you shared by link. It cannot be undone. Class plans saved locally on your device are kept, so deleting your account never destroys your offline work.
What each optional feature processes

Permissions we do not request
Yoga Quest does not request location, contacts, photos, camera, calendar, or health permissions. It contains no advertising SDK, no attribution SDK, and no cross-app tracking. We do not sell or share personal information for behavioural advertising.
Service providers
Yoga Quest uses Google Firebase for authentication, database storage, hosting, app attestation, and — when you enable it — analytics. Firebase and your chosen sign-in provider may process normal operational data such as IP address, user agent, request time, and abuse signals under their own terms. Native release builds use Play Integrity or Apple App Attest through Firebase App Check to verify that requests come from a genuine copy of the app.
Exports and sharing
PDF and JSON exports leave the app only after you open your device's share sheet and choose a destination. Where the file goes after that is handled by the destination you picked, not by Yoga Quest.
Children
Yoga Quest is made for yoga teachers, teacher trainees, and experienced practitioners. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Your choices
- Export — download a complete JSON copy of your local data.
- Erase locally — delete all local data from this device.
- Delete your account — permanently erase your account and everything synced to it.
- Turn analytics off — it is off by default and can be turned back off at any time.
- Withdraw AI consent — the copilot returns to running locally.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a way that affects what we process or why, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where the change is material, tell you in the app before it takes effect.
